Opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 1996, the university’s award-winning Brayford Pool Campus provides a modern, student-centred environment. Around £275m has been invested in facilities over the past two decades.
The University of Lincoln was placed among the top 10% of UK universities for centralised and convenient facilities in The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2017.
World Class Research
Researchers at the University of Lincoln are working towards solving some of the world’s most challenging problems, including drug-resistant bacteria, cancer diagnosis, treatment for Parkinson’s Disease and mitigating the impact of climate change.
Within the Research Excellence Framework 2014, more than half of the research submitted by the University of Lincoln was judged to be internationally excellent or world-leading. The framework also placed the university’s research in agriculture, food science, veterinary, nursing, pharmacy and allied health professions research among the top 10 in the UK for research quality.
Excellent Graduate Prospects
95% of University of Lincoln graduates were in employment or further study six months after completing their course - with almost three quarters in graduate level roles - according to the latest Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey.

Lincoln is recognised as one of the world's great historic cities, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year from around the world. With its medieval castle and one of the finest cathedrals in Europe, Lincoln is steeped in over 2,000 years of history.
In 2016, the city of Lincoln was named as one of Britain’s 20 Best Cities by the Telegraph. Lincoln was also named the UK’s friendliest place in 2016 by the Eden Project’s Big Lunch programme.
