International Foundation Certificates

Develop your English language skills and familiarise yourself with UK academic culture through these one-year programmes. They are designed to be taken before starting an undergraduate degree.

You might consider studying an International Foundation Certificate (IFC) if:

• Your high school qualifications do not meet the entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate degree
• You want to study an undergraduate degree in a subject that is different from your previous study
• You want to improve your academic and/or English language skills

Goldsmiths offers seven IFCs:

• Arts and Humanities
• Computing
• Design
• Management and Psychology
• Media, Culture and Society
• Music
• Music Computing
• Social Sciences

You are guaranteed a place on your undergraduate degree if you complete the IFC at the required level. This is usually a pass in all modules, and an overall score of 50% or more.
