Bangor Law School’s faculty are graduates of many of the world’s leading universities, including Cambridge, the College of Europe, Queen Mary, Renmin, Tufts and Queens Belfast. Several have been previously employed as professionals within the legal sector in roles such as judge, solicitor and magistrate, and many continue to provide research and advice to organisations small and large, including the UK government.

Undergraduate Study

All of Bangor Law School’s LLB degrees have Qualifying Law Degree status, meaning they are recognised for professional purposes by the Law Society and Bar Council of England and Wales, the Law Society of Ireland and the Bar Council of India.

As well as a straight Law degree, our portfolio of courses offers students the opportunity to combine the study of law with that of another subject, such as Accounting and Finance, Business Studies, Criminology, Social Policy and a European language.

Postgraduate Study

Bangor Law School offers a suite of LLM programmes reflecting the School's breadth of expertise and our commitment to high level postgraduate teaching. We have particular expertise in the areas of International Law and Procurement Law, but we also specialise in EU Law, Corporate Finance Law, Maritime Law, Banking Law, Commercial Law, Company Law, Administrative Law, Child and Family Law, and Intellectual Property Law. Expert PhD and MPhil supervision in a range of legal areas is also available.
