The single honours psychology degree will allow you to study an exciting programme of psychological study delivered in a supportive environment. The degree has a strong focus on the application of psychological knowledge to understanding and improving individual, organisational, and societal health.
The single honours programme will provide you with comprehensive knowledge and skills in understanding how and why people behave in the ways they do and the ability to apply that knowledge in a variety of individual and group settings.
You will explore the link between psychological theory, research and practice, with a focus on producing a scientific understanding of the links between the mind, brain, behaviour and experience, and how we can try to influence these processes to improve individual, organisational, and societal health and wellbeing.
The programme has a strong emphasis on developing psychological research skills and an understanding of research ethics, culminating in an independent final year research project.
