Materials (Postgraduate) at Loughborough University
The global challenges faced by industry have increased the demand for new and innovative materials, how to select, combine, process and recycle them. In tandem with this has been a growing demand for materials scientists and our range of Masters courses and modules has been developed to equip students with the skills they need to work in this strategic and socially important discipline.

The courses feature a broad range of modules across their respective subject areas and there are both full time and part time options available.
Masters projects cover a wide range of research areas and a high proportion are sponsored by industry.
In addition all our masters courses are accredited by the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining (IOM3), making it more straight forward for our graduates to satisfy the requirements of the professional qualifications; Chartered Engineer or Chartered Scientist, once they have completed a period in graduate-level employment.
