Edinburgh is consistently ranked among the best places to live in Europe, with a high quality of life and plenty of opportunities available for those who want to stay on and build a career in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

We've listed three of the most interesting courses available for potential postgraduates who want to start their studies in January:

MSc Dispute Resolution

Queen Margaret is offering a course with a January 2018 start for those who wish to specialize in resolving disputes through the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms which allow consumers and corporations to avoid expensive and complicated court processes.

As the involvement of institutionalised dispute resolution has decreased, new demand has increased for those people like conciliators, ombuds and complaint handlers who are able to help manage conflicts.

Covering a spectrum of different routes towards resolutions of disputes, from non-adjudicative (mediation) to adjudicative (arbitration), the course is particularly strong in framing and understanding disputes between ordinary individuals and powerful organisations.

MA Arts, Festival and Cultural Management

The MA course covers essential aspects of the management of cultural events, such as rules on governance, finance and marketing.

Previous graduates of the course have gone on to work with cultural festivals, galleries and theatre organisations.

MSc Strategic Communication and Public Relations

There's no doubt about it - as digitization has completely overhauled our media, there has been a boom in demand for those with the expertise to help organisations get their message out to their stakeholders loud and clear.
