Study law at Cardiff and gain hands-on experience of Law in the real world.

The LLB Law programme is both challenging and stimulating, enabling you to build the skills required for a career in law or a wide range of other professions. In addition to the foundation modules constituting the academic stage of training that is necessary to become a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, we offer a wide selection of optional study areas which cover traditional and contemporary legal subjects. These include Discrimination and Law, Human Rights Law, Commercial Law, Environmental Law and Intellectual Property Law, among many others. Cardiff is the only Russell Group University to offer both courses required to qualify as a barrister or solicitor, the Bar Professional Training Course and the Legal Practice Course, giving student a range of options upon graduating.

Cardiff Law School is committed to providing an outstanding teaching and learning experience that is underpinned by excellent research activity. We attract students from all over the world and offer a friendly, supportive and culturally diverse environment in which to study, and support employability skills development throughout the course. This includes a dedicated careers consultant who visits the Law building twice per week, and numerous opportunities for students to practise and extend their skills via schemes and competitions. Our two most established schemes are our Innocence Project (which is to date the first university Innocence Project in the UK to successfully overturn a guilty verdict) and our NHS Continuing Healthcare Scheme, which is unique to Cardiff. Both initiatives have won prestigious national awards and help by assisting members of the community and vulnerable groups. Within six months of graduating, 96% of the school's graduates reported that they were employed or pursuing further study in the 2013/2014 academic year.

This is a full-time, three-year Honours degree programme, taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials and seminars.
