Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has an innovative curriculum, a prominent faculty, and excellent facilities. The program provides a strong foundation in engineering science and enhances students' analytical abilities; it includes study of thermo-fluids, mechanics and materials, and dynamics and control, along with courses on design and manufacturing that emphasize creativity and innovation. The curriculum is designed to prepare engineers for the global environment, enabling them to make responsible decisions while serving societal needs. Research efforts are focused in frontier areas, such as microsystem engineering, and make use of the university's cutting-edge nanotechnology center and molecular biology research laboratory.
