Why Do I Love International Business Management So Much?

22nd May 2017 Posted by: Justas Kasputis - University of Lincoln

HELLO everybody, my name is Justas and originally I am from Lithuania but for the past 8 years I have been living in England. I have chosen to study International Business Management at University of Lincoln due to the fact that the Lincoln's Business School is ranked highly and at the same time it was a convenient place for me to study.

Firstly, I love my International Business Management course because of the wide range of choices that the course has provided me with: it is vast! To me this is very important as you can pick your favourite modules and pursue your goals and ambitions within your area. At the same time, all lecturers and seminar tutors support you and advise you if you have any problems, which makes learning more efficient and fun.

Secondly, this course has opened up so many unique opportunities. For example, I am currently studying abroad and undertaking my course at the University of Applied Sciences in Leipzig, Germany. So far it has been an invaluable experience, which I am very thankful for. It has improved my transferrable skills and linguistic skills, and at the same time my business related skills. Being able to work with people from all over the place within business related tasks has really helped me to further develop diversity-management skills. Seeing how people think and react to various business related situations from their point of view is vital for me as an individual to grow and develop. Gathering such skills is essential, especially when I want to become a Project Manager in the future and to work for global projects.

Last but not least, my course is challenging but very rewarding and for me this is the best way to define a course that gets the best out of you. Considering the fact that the business environment is becoming so competitive, this course is a perfect way for anybody to breakthrough and achieve all aspirations. For example, undertaking an Erasmus Programme can make you stand out a lot and it also allows you to further develop language skills which is becoming ever-more important factor when managers are looking to hire somebody.

Located in the ‘heart of England’, the University of Lincoln is one of the UK’s leading modern universities. It’s also one of the best universities in the UK universities for student satisfaction (it was in the top 10 in both The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 and National Student Survey 2016!).
