IF you're an international student and thinking about studying an LLB with a view to a corporate legal career, then you'll probably know that having the best possible picture of the field of top law firms where you can intern and earn a training contract is essential knowledge.

So, here are the three top-ranked firms in the Chambers Global Top 30...

Newly-qualified solicitors are then paid £70,000 per year, according to the same source.

Their most prominent clients include banking giants Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC, American shipping giant FedEx, Unilever, and pharmaceuticals giant Merck & Co.

So what do Baker McKenzie look for in their trainees?

According to the firm, they "want individuals who can combine an impressive academic track record with excellent technical skills. But personal qualities are also important to us, so we're only interested in people who can bring clarity to complex situations, are committed to excellence, and are good problem solvers. We also want people who are comfortable working in diverse teams where friendship is valued."
